Daiken Week

Welcome to Daiken Week, a week-long Digimon fandom event on social media, including Tumblr, Twitter, AO3, Pixiv, Instagram, and more, celebrating Ichijouji Ken and Motomiya Daisuke.

FAQs

What is this event about?
This event is all about the relationship between Ichijouji Ken and Motomiya Daisuke from Digimon Adventure 02. It is eight (8) days set aside to create new fanworks about these two awesome characters and their relationship. Each day features two specific prompt/theme options that participants can use as a guideline when creating their fanworks.

Do I have to sign up to participate?
Not at all! Just post your work to Tumblr, Twitter, AO3, Pixiv, and/or other social media via the instructions below.

What sort of media are allowed?
All kinds! Fics, art, GIFs, music mixes, edits, videos and AMVs–all are welcome!

Do I choose one of the two daily prompts, or can I work with both prompts?
You’re more than welcome to choose one of the two prompts or create content for each prompt or combine the two prompts. Any variation is welcome!

Do I have to make something for all the days?
Not at all! You can participate in as few or as many days as you’d like. There’s no requirement regarding participation. If you’re not into a certain prompt/theme or can’t think of anything for the day, you’re more than welcome to skip a day. If you want to do one of the days, half of them, or all of them, that’s totally fine!

Can I collaborate with another creator?
Absolutely! That would be amazing.

Are there word count restrictions?
Nope! Write how little or much you want.

Can I submit an old work or sequel?
The purpose of this event is to create new Daiken content, so submitting old content is not allowed. However, sequels are more than welcome.

Can I post a work in progress (WIP)?
Please finish your work before posting it, though series are an exception.

Are there rating or content limitations?
None whatsoever, though everything must be rated and tagged appropriately.

What if I missed a day? Can I submit work late?
Yes, definitely! We will continue looking at the tags and sharing fanworks for a month after the event to make sure we didn’t miss anything.

I missed the event! Will there be more in the future?
At this time, we do not have plans for another event, but please keep a lookout just in case!

Sharing Instructions

Posting on Tumblr

If you post to Tumblr yourself, post your fics as a link style post, linking directly to the AO3 fic and add the following information to the description:

Your art should be posted as a photo post, unless it is NSFW, in which case it should be posted below the cut or you can simply post a preview. If you are also posting your artwork on Pixiv, you can link to the art directly on Pixiv instead of the image itself.

Audio and video work can simply be linked as well with standard ratings and warnings as necessary.

Use the hashtag #DaikenWeek in the first five hashtags of your post and please send us a note to make sure we don’t miss your beautiful creations! All work will be reblogged here.

If you don’t have a Tumblr and would like us to share your work for you, you can contact the mods via the ask feature, send a DM on Twitter, or email miracles.kindness@gmail.com. Make sure to provide us with a link to the original content (whether on Twitter, AO3, Pixiv, or somewhere else) so that we can share the link, as opposed to reposting the content.

Posting on Twitter

Artwork can be shared directly on Twitter, but fics, videos, audio, etc. should be shared as a link. Either way, make sure to use the hashtag #DaikenWeek when posting your creations and make sure the appropriate tags are employed.

Posting on AO3

Please add your fics to the Daiken Week collection on AO3. Make sure to have the appropriate ratings and tags employed.

Posting on Pixiv

Please tags your artwork with the tag #DaikenWeek. Make sure to have the appropriate ratings and tags employed.
